Who we are
- Baskin Strategy is run by Evgenii Baskin, a private individual based in Cyprus. He is the data controller for this site. Contact: hello@baskinstrategy.com.
What the form collects
- What you type: the Amazon link or ASIN, your name and your email.
- Added automatically: the time of the request, the page you sent it from, the site language, your IP address and your browser’s user agent (the browser and device name it sends with every request).
- Ad and campaign tags, if your link had them: utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content, utm_term, gclid and msclkid.
Why we use it
- To reply to your request and send your review or audit.
- To see which pages and ads bring requests.
- Legal bases: steps taken at your request before a contract; legitimate interest for measuring which ads work.
Data you send for an audit
- Audits use the Seller Central and advertising exports you send. We use them only for your audit and do not share them.
- We analyze them in Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity, with training on our data turned off.
Who else processes data
- Cloudflare hosts the site. The form sends your request through a Cloudflare Pages Function to our own CRM, which runs on a server we rent from Hetzner in Nuremberg, Germany.
- Telegram delivers a notification about each new request to Evgenii, with the ASIN, your name and your email.
- Plausible counts visits without cookies and without storing personal data.
- Zoho Mail stores our email, in its EU data centre.
- Claude (Anthropic), ChatGPT (OpenAI) and Perplexity process audit data, with training on our data turned off.
- SmartScout provides public market data. Your exports never go into SmartScout.
- Remotify or PayPal handle invoices and payment.
- Some of these providers store data outside the EU.
Cookies and browser storage
- No cookies for analytics or ads.
- The form reads ad and campaign tags only from the address of the page you are on. We don’t store them in your browser as you move between pages.
- The site remembers your language choice in your browser (localStorage).
- For the current visit only, the site remembers that you have seen the opening animation and the listing game’s 2-second view (sessionStorage), so they don’t play again.
How long we keep it
- Requests and emails: 24 months after our last contact. Audit exports: 6 months after the audit is delivered.
Your rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hello@baskinstrategy.com and we reply within one month.
- You can also complain to the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection in Cyprus.
Changes
- If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page.
